After a very successful preseason of 4-1-0, OSA FC women’s team is ready and excited to begin their WPSL season. “Preseason games are the time for us to understand how we want to play and build team chemistry” says Head Coach Malia Arrant.
And so, the date is set for Saturday May 21 in North Vancouver, BC Kinsmen Park at 2pm when our ladies will face off against NSGSC, also known as North Shore Girls Soccer Club, at their very first season in the WPSL.
A tough game for the OSA FC debut in the 2016 season, seeing that the OSA women will be crossing the Canadian boarder to play a completely brand new team.
Head Coach Malia Arrant can count on a very experienced roster thanks to some veteran players such as Arica Slawson (this is her 4th season with OSA teams), Niki Bonnell (Sounders Women player and at her 3rd year with OSA teams’ jersey), Lindsey Patterson (from Seattle Reign, she had played pro for a numbers of year), Chalise Baysa (who has played for the Philippine Women’s National Team), Kennya Cordner (who has played pro and is also part of the Trinidad & Tobago WNT), Courtney Moore (who played in the Italian top division) and Alexa Diaz (from Seattle Sounders).
Also, later in the season, some Italian players will be joining the team, bringing their skills and experience to the team.
