Will Oussama Essabr be AC Seattle FCT253’s first big player?

Who is Oussama Essabr?
He scored the ‘best goal’ in the Lega Pro in 2014, and he could be the next big player for FC Tacoma 253!
Oussama Essabr was born in Morocco in 1989 and has both Moroccan and Italian nationality. He came through the Juventus youth system and played for the Juve Primavera team along with Toronto’s new big sign, Sebastian Giovinco. At just 26 years of age Essabr has played the striker and center forward positions for a handful of European teams such as Vicenza, Arezzo, Cosenza, Crotone, Prato and SEF Torres, with a large number of appearances and goals for these clubs.
Essabr came to Seattle in 2008 with Juventus Primavera for the friendly match against the Sounders (http://seattletimes.com/html/sounders/2004471987_sounders12.html), and in 2014 he experienced a tryout orchestrated by FCT’s owner, Giuseppe Pezzano, with Montreal Impact. After these visits Oussama became interested in playing in North America, so the opportunity of a season with FC Tacoma 253’s first year NPSL team is of particular interest to him to get his foot in the door in the states.
‘I have always wanted to take my game beyond Europe, and a chance to play in the US is of particular interest to me’ said Oussama, ‘I have seen the work that Mr Pezzano has been doing and it would be a pleasure for me to play for his club, plus it will be a great opportunity for me to be seen in the states, plus the experience would be fantastic.’
The club is in the process of looking seriously at the opportunity. Club President, Giuseppe Pezzano, said ‘The FC Tacoma 253 project is a very serious one. Our goal is to bridge European and American soccer, so this would be a great step in that direction. Plus, Oussama is a great player, he would bring a lot to the club and he might find an MLS club interested in him.’

It looks like we could know a lot more about who Oussama Essabr is very soon….
