An awful lot of determination, passion, and dedication. This is Francesca Vitale, currently Tradate Abbiate Club’s defender who has already booked her flight to Seattle, and can’t wait to leave. That’s important to her. Very important. That’s a dream that finally comes true.
“In this forthcoming American soccer experience – Francesca Vitale tells us – I hope to learn a lot. I like the fact that I will get to know the real difference between the American women’s soccer and the Italian one”.
The young lady from Italian region named Lombardia boasts an outstanding portfolio thanks to her season with Inter and Milan Clubs. Two Clubs she takes to heart, because allowed her to grow up and develop as a player and a person. As it should always be when you face a new experience in your life. And when we talk about the “red-black” and the “blue-black” colors, Francesca Vitale steps in: “I have good memories of both the teams. I played in Milan Club for 9 years, reaching great results. Instead, I considered the two seasons played for Inter Club really different, but absolutely positive all the same. I played the Italian Serie A with both the teams and this is a great memory. Currently, I play in the Serie B, but I’d really like to be back in the top Serie A. I am sure that the American experience will be very helpful in this sense.”
The defender, born in 1992, also has numerous participations in the Italian Women’s National Team, with the U17, U19 and U20 teams. Those have been beautiful years for her, spiced up with the victory of a European Championship in France and with the participation to the World Cup in Japan. International experiences that remain in one’s heart. If you win of course, and if you lose too.
Now, after a good season in the Italian Serie B with Tradate Abbiate Club, Francesca wants to live the WPSL experience in the USA. She wants to win. And she wants to improve. In conclusion, she states: “When I’ll be back from the USA I would like to face a couple things I’m actually not at ease with. But I don’t want to think about it at the moment. Right now, the right thing to do is living this experience and make the best of it. Then, when I will be back in Italy, I will deal with what is waiting for me”.
She’s determined. And she’s brave. A real warrior who has what it takes to fly towards Seattle. And all we can do is to quote our catchphrase: Welcome to Seattle, Francesca!
