A meeting of the minds took place at the sports headquarters of the University of Washington last week in Seattle.
In attendance were ACF Fiorentina’s Professor Vergine and Mr Mencucci, Filippo Milano Tecnhical Manager and Head Coach of FC Tacoma 253, Paul Aur Assistant Coach of FCT253, Giuseppe Pezzano of OSA Soccer Group along with Jeff Rowland of University of Washington Department of Athletics. Jeff showed the group soccer facilities and introduced the staff. Mr Vergine and Mr Mencucci were very impressed with the methodology and management of the athletes.
Training methodologies and scientific developmental techniques for young soccer players, along with athlete recruitment were the main topics discussed.
All in attendance we’re very satisfied with the meeting and would like to continue developing a relationship in order to provide the best opportunities to this growing sport.

After coming to Seattle to consult on the FC Tacoma 253’s PDP, project partners Vergine and Mencucci went on to San Francisco to consult for another program.
Prof. Vergine held a coaching course which was attended by more than 320 coaches of the NorCal league!
Vergine and Mencucci have been working on a developmental project there for the last 7 years. Just last weekend Joshua Perez, a player moved up through the program scored 4 goals(2 games) for the US National U17 team!
These guys know about identification and development at the highest level!
